Bashful Eyes

It's a funny thing: nudity.

Getting nekkid can be a real challenge -- but once there it's such a natural feeling that models sometimes almost forget they're sitting there with no clothes on.

What is more beautiful than a woman who is comfortable in her skin?  A simple smile can be even more compelling than a nude body.

Armed And Dangerous

B+W, off center, hi-contrast -- it's a simple image, I know.  And yet it's not really so simple.  Close your eyes.  Then open them and think for a moment about where your eye first came to rest.

It's amazing how powerful the sight of a female body can be. Men have lived lives of courage, or agony, of fame and of infamy -- in fact they have not only lived but died as well, and killed, and murdered.  All because they were moved by a woman.

Oh, men have done other things too for women.... some other time we'll talk about those.

Nipple to Nose

There is something that is just plain elegant about a woman's torso and arm.  But bring together the simple lines of her body with the intensity of her gaze, the depth of her longing, the anticipation of a moment and you have a thing of beauty.

I dipped into the future

For I dipped into the future,

as far as human eye could see,

saw a vision of the world,

and all the wonder that would be

Doff Your Hat

I have this wide brimmed hat in the studio.  It gets all manner of reactions.

Some women feel they daren't wear it -- that it takes a certain kind of woman, or that the wearer needs a certain beauty or attitude or .... well, "something."

On the other hand, it's just fun.

And fun is what time in the studio is all about.  I really try hard to make their time nude in the studio more fun -- and so I try to make even the clothed shots something different.

..... by the way, girl..... those are some pins you got there!

To One Side

I love dancers.  They are always wonderful figure models.  There is something about the discipline of dance that results in solid and often compact bodies.

On another front,  I am always amazed at a woman's hips.  Whether the model is skinny as a twig or as husky as an entire tree trunk there is something wonderfully delightful about the junction of torso and hips.

Skeptical

What's more classically "pinup" than a pair of opera gloves and a pillbox hat?

And what's more a more classically "pinup" attitude than that playful invitation that epitomized so many classic pinup images....

Fisherman's Post-It Note

Written by Peter Pazucha

When you're out at sea and you don't have a post-it note, just what DO you write on?

When you're out at sea and you want to leave someone a note, what do you use instead of a Post-It note?

I thought this was a clever solution.  You can't say that waterproof Magic Markers are a bad idea now!

The fisherman is one of those good old Down South Maine lobstermen.

The Lonely Beach

a digital painting featuring a look along a quiet lakeshore

Grant Park, in Milwaukee Country, give access to a wonderful stretch of white sandy beach.  During this season when the sun is warm, the urge to relax and get outdoors -- and an ongoing oil spill in the gulf which threatens to change forever many of the nations beaches and natural places -- one can't help ponder the wonderful blessing we enjoy in the form of the Great Lakes.
