I like all sorts of ladies. For models, that is. Some big, some small, some chunky, others quite trim.
I don’t get many volunteers as trim as this gal. She’s a runner and you can tell the minute she drops her clothes. But I have to say that as beautiful as she may be naked — it’s her eyes that always draw me in.
To stand in front of a camera an have time to just think. Nowhere to go. Nothing to do. A moment’s break in activity and a solitary glance.
And what if in that moment you feel the touch of your lover on bare skin? What assortment of ideas, of memories, of desires fill your spirit?
And what are you thinking as you turn your head away from that lover, no playing coy, and troubled by their behavior?
A lover’s gaze is a fascinating thing. But so too is the response it garners.

I’m constantly amazed at the personality that models bring to the studio. Perhaps I’m just getting older but I used to be able to predict which ladies could bring ferocity to their poses — but this wonderful lady was a compete surprise and a delight.
What else can you say but ” You go, grrrrl!”
Who doesn’t love a smiley faced teenager? A time of life when the world is still their oyster, when life’s troubles and stress have not yet overwhelmed them, and when best buds are forever — indeed, there is something magical about a teenagers’s smile.

I rarely show up on the business side of the camera but over the years I’ve enjoyed playing with a series of self-portraits.
This latest one occurred on a trip with my wife. Some people say I have a split personality — this proves it.
In case you’re wondering — those wings on either side are tripod legs….. So much for my technique…

There’s something about sadness in a young face.
