I’ve always been a big city boy; and faces fascinate me.

As we prepare to take off on our next big adventure my next project will be

100 Faces / 100 Towns

portraits and the story of people
who settled in the tiny towns of the U.S.
and why they stayed there

All the beautiful women in the world are NOT under 20.? In fact the greatest beauty of a flower is the last beauty and for those women who are willing to see themselves objectively a great many of them look better as they age.

If you are over 40 I am especially interested in shooting you.? Why?? Because we live our lives becoming individuals — the little things that we sometimes perceive as “imperfections” aren’t so much things “wrong” with us as they are the things that distinguish us from others.

Mature, confident women, and even mature not-so-confident-women who are willing to explore what it is that makes they gorgeous, desirable, and sensual are wonderful artist’s models.? Consider joining me in studio…

Beauty is not about age, it’s about attitude

Most of my humanscapes are created with men and women of average size.  My models all know that I am notoriously open to all sizes, shapes, and conditions — I revel in being able to show the beauty of all sorts of people.  But for this project I have to be more selective.

The Athletic Body presents it’s own unique challenges and delights. They are both easier to shoot and harder to make look good.  A truly trim body lacks those curves that naturally elicit a sense of beauty.  But, they also tend to be far more flexible and limber.

This series of images is about flexibility, about compactness, about definition and texture.

Do you think you might be a good subject for this project?  Contact me.  I usually shoot during the day, but for the right models I shoot at all sorts of hours.

The Simple Lines series is about photographic abstraction.

It’s about finding uniquely individual, ultra simple, body lines.

Whether created in silhouette or over exposure they are not only beautiful image, some of them are tongue-in-cheek, some of them are intentionally obscure; for me it’s all about the line, the form, the texture.

This is a project specifically for and about cancer survivors.

A great many cancer patients have found that the uniqueness of their disease proved the cause (or excuse) for people in their life to abandon them, shun them, or ignore them.? Many of them have found that normally caring people have even gone so far as to avoid touching them.

I began this project after my own mother failed in her fight against the disease, but it didn’t begin to take shape for some years.

I have been amazed at how strong cancer makes survivors, its a disease that raises people from the depths to extraordinary power.

My normal images are NOT about sexuality, but because so many cancer patients have been troubled by doubts about their desirability as a partner, about their beauty or loss of beauty because of the disease this project is more about sensuality and desirability than my other work.

If you are a cancer surivor

If you are interested in telling your personal story

If you are willing to doff your duds to show just how great you look, just how strong and independent you have become because of your disease

Contact me and let’s talk.

Body art is a prevailing social phenomenon.  It’s nothing new — humans have been decorating their epidermis for centuries; yea for millennia. The images include not only tattoos but also piercings and other forms of body modification.

Images don’t ask “why” or “why not” — they simply record. Sometimes there is great beauty accompanied by great meaning; other times they are the results of

a night on the town and absolute loss of meaning — but whatever they why or wherefore it’s a look at who we are, at what’s important to us, and how we choose to individualize ourselves.

(images may or may not required nudity — obviously depending on where the body art may be found)

We’ve all seen sand dunes. They are beautiful and quiet (unless there’s an ATV around), quite awesome in size, but ever so simple in form. These are characteristics shared by our bodies as well.

This project is primarily torso images: top, bottom, side, front, back, twisted, tormented, stretched and compressed.

It’s an exploration of the human form and it’s parallels to the sand dune.

(This project is exclusively nudes.) Models in studio may be asked to pose for individual images for this series.

LANDFORMS of Humanity

DEFINITION: Any feature of Earth’s surface having a distinct shape and origin. Landforms include major features (such as continents, ocean basins, plains.

We may not use the word very often, but we acknowledge the common landforms around us:  hills, valleys, mountains, piedmont, depressions.

Join me on a flight of fancy, on a journey to discover how human bodies replicate and mimic these grand natural formations. These are all Humanscapes; so they ARE nudes.  But whereas many artists look at male and female bodies as nothing more than sexual objects, this project is about  parallels between the human form and well known landforms.

Models in studio for other reasons may be asked to pose for individual images for this series.
